If you have an EchoMark Business or Enterprise account, you'll want to take advantage of EchoMark's email integration to protect your private mail and attachments automatically. This guide will help you get set up.
1. Create a new integration in the EchoMark app
Navigate to the Integrations page under Settings, and click to configure a new Gmail integration:
Copy the domain verification record generated for the integration, which will be used in the next step.
Keep this tab open as you'll be filling out the form with information gathered from the rest of this walkthrough.
2. Update your DNS settings
Before you do anything else, you'll want to update the DNS settings for each of the domains that you want EchoMark to work with. This helps us to verify your domains, and it also prevents messages routed through EchoMark from appearing as spam. Note that updated DNS settings could take up to 48 hours to propagate, but usually finish propagating in about 5-10 minutes.
3. Enable SMTP relay for EchoMark
While you await domain verification, you can go ahead and prepare your account to be ready to work with EchoMark by completing all of the prerequisites using the guide below.
Enable SMTP relay for EchoMark in Google Workspace
4. Enable fan-out for shared inboxes
If your tenant uses shared inboxes to send mail to large groups, you'll need to complete this step to ensure that mail is marked uniquely for each member of the group. All Google Workspace Groups use shared inboxes, so this is a required step for Google Workspace unless you do not use Groups in your organization.

5. Configure the new integration in the EchoMark app
Return to the integration setup dialog in the EchoMark app and provide the expected information:
-
- Refer to Step 4 (Enable fan-out for Google Groups) for an explanation of Super-admin email address and Service account key
- Test group address should be the address of a group that has multiple members and can be unrolled (expanded into a list of recipients)
6. Submit
Click Submit to submit the configuration details. The app will test domain verification, group unroll, and the SMTP relay by sending a test email. Refer to the resulting dialog to troubleshoot any errors with the setup.
7. Configure automatic marking
Once your domains have been successfully verified, move on to enable automatic marking.
